What, When & Where ITV1, 8.55pm
I'm A Celebrity
WELL, they’ve been there nearly a week now, and so far the jungle-based celebs are behaving exactly as we’ve come to expect.
Tears? Check! Tantrums? Check! Bitching and backbiting? Check! Moans about the food? Check!
And, of course, the emergence of one particular individual who, against our better natures, we suddenly find ourselves longing to slap.
EINSTEIN AND EDDINGTON
Saturday November 22,2008
What, When & Where BBC2, 9.10pm
David Tennant
WITH wiry specs and slightly less bonkers hair, Doctor Who’s David Tennant makes the subtle switch from science fiction to science fact for this intriguing, one-off drama.
Starting in 1913, the story finds Tennant in the role of astrophysicist Arthur Eddington, a respected scientist who dared to suggest that a German might have stumbled upon rather an inspired theory.
The German in question was a little-known chap by the name of Albert Einstein (played by Andy Serkis), who’d been working for some years on his Theory of Relativity, one that called into question many of British science’s fundamental assumptions.
The cast also includes Jim Broadbent, Lucy Cohu, Rebecca Hall and Jodhi May.
