CIPRIANI BACKS JOHNSON'S CODE OF CONDUCT

Danny Cipriani has backed Martin Johnson’s decision to introduce a code of conduct for England players after the allegations of sexual assault on their New Zealand tour.

Team manager Johnson will incorporate a strict code of conduct into the contracts to be signed by the 64 players named in both the elite and Saxons squads.

Cipriani welcomed the tough stance and said: “It’s important players know where they stand. If there is a code of conduct then players will obviously abide by it.

“In the past, people weren’t sure whether they broke rules or not.”
