Hull forward Willie Manu is looking forward to the biggest game of his career when he lines up against St Helens in this Saturday's Carnegie Challenge Cup final at Wembley.

The 28-year-old Tonga international is a guaranteed starter in Richard Agar's side for the match which will be the first final of his career.

He said: "St Helens are a great side in great form which is why it was important for us to win last week against Harlequins. It will take something special to beat them but I'm looking for us to do it."

Spells at Wests Tigers, South Sydney, St George Illawarra and Castleford preceded Manu's current two-year stint on Humberside - all without him coming close to lifting any silverware.

"It's the first major final of my career so I'm pretty excited," he added.

"We have under-achieved this season for sure. You could say we have had injuries but at the end of the day we have still had 13 players against 13 on the pitch.

"We have a few things to fix up for next year but it's just about concentrating on the final now.

"It would be a shame for us to throw away all the hard work that we have done to reach the final as we have had a really hard year."
