What makes you think that this was a drug addict looking for a fix? There's a plethora of reasons why someone could have done this. Neighbour with a grudge, drunken lout looking for somewhere to sleep (that happens more often than you'd imagine) Why focus so intently on the burglary aspect? Especially as at the minute, burglary is well down and the intent could have been anything?


However Harri has struck upon something- that is regarding the potential punishment for burglars. Labour is drawing their plans to spare them from prison. When that eddict comes down the line then it truly is time to worry. Habitual theives will be kept on the street, won't have a chance of cleaning themselves up of any drug habit and worst of all will not be detered from breaking into houses, factories and outbuildings be it for profit or mischief.
